Loudoun Lactation and Education
Lilly Seng is the owner of Loudoun Lactation and Education and is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Lilly leads our lactation team here at The Body, Birth and Baby Center. She provides classes and supports families one-on-one with lactation consultations.
Postpartum Lactation Consultations
In-person consultations include thorough assessments of moms and babies. We use pre and post feed weights, oral function assessments, observe a feeding, troubleshoot, and manage lactation concerns. Latching and positioning techniques are shown and a comprehensive care plan is given based on the feeding goals of the family
Prenatal or Pumping Consultations
Whether you’re planning ahead while you’re pregnant and have questions about breastfeeding or you’re interested in more information regarding the BIG wide world of pumping, we have plenty of experience and gear to show & tell you all about your options. We can help you prepare and troubleshoot as needed along the way. Perfect One on One options for parents and partners to discuss what to expect!
Newborn Care
Perfect for families who benefit from hands on learning and wish to know what they need in order to prepare for life with a newborn! We will be covering topics like Hygiene, Swaddling, Diapering, Babywearing, Car Seats, Strollers, Newborn Sleep, and more!
INFant CPR Class
We will cover the basics of how to respond when an infant requires rescue breathing, CPR, and choking support. Comprehensive hands on practice will be provided. The practical application of these skills for parents and caregivers is our goal in this class. Come learn skills that are important when caring for an infant and leave feeling prepared!
Pumping Workshop
Calling all pumping moms or soon-to-be pumping moms! Whether you’re heading back to work, building a stash, or trying to make peace with your pump—join us for a 60 min supportive and info-packed workshop that will leave you feeling empowered and equipped. You’ll learn everything from flange fitting to scheduling, and walk away with real-world tools for success.
Breastfeeding Class
Our breastfeeding class is a practical yet in depth class designed to get you ready for the first few weeks after baby’s born. We will discuss expectations, managing difficulties, and we will demonstrate positioning & latch. It’s designed as a hands-on experience for couples which will include a show and tell segment regarding pumps, bottles, and other feeding related gear!
Breastfeeding Support Group
Join us for our complimentary support group led by IBCLC, Lilly Seng, where you can connect with other breastfeeding moms as we all share in this journey. New topics will be discussed each month!
CPR/First Aid Certification Class
If you’re a provider looking to obtain or maintain your CPR/First Aid Certification, look no further! Our HSI Certified instructor will provide you with what you need through a blended online/in-person approach that will maximize retention and give you the confidence you need! *If you're a Healthcare Provider and need a BLS Class please Contact us!*
Babysitter safety class
Preparing Caregivers of all ages! This can be taken as a blended (online/in-person) certification class as well as a class for family members and friends who would like to feel more comfortable about providing care to littles!
