Body Balancing Session

A Body Balancing Session is different from the prenatal massage.  This session is done in clothing on the massage table.  We will do numerous stretches and palpations to help create space in your body.  Some massage is done on the skin on your lower back and belly.   At no point am I moving or changing the position of your baby but by addressing the muscles, tendons and ligaments, around your uterus and pelvis,  it creates room for your baby to move on their own.  I will also discuss techniques that you can do at home.  This session would be done starting around 32 weeks and can be repeated until the baby moves head down if that is what they are meant to do. Read more here. Initial appointment is 75 minutes. Follow up sessions are 60 minutes.

Labor Prep Massage

This massage is done only after 39 weeks.  Occasional exceptions are made if induction has been set for medical reasons.  First time moms, I recommend booking this massage in your 40th week. This massage is to help prepare your body for labor. A prenatal massage will be done with extra emphasis on hips, stretches will be done to help release tension in pelvis and I will stimulate specific pressure points and use essential oils. Caroline will incorporate Spinning Babies techniques. Like all other means of natural induction, you will only go into labor if your body and baby are ready. 75 minute appointment

Postpartum Massage

Massage may be done as soon as mother feels ready.  Massage will help relieve any discomfort or stress from labor.  Massage helps trigger the flow of endorphins to help elevate mood.   Massage is extremely beneficial to ease mom’s stress and discomfort in her body from caring for a newborn. 60 minute appointment
